The story
What's it about?
Violet was raised as a weapon and knew only war and her commanding officer, Major Gilbert, whose last words to her were 'I love you'. After the war, she becomes an Auto Memory Doll — a ghostwriter of letters — hoping that by writing other people's feelings, she'll finally understand his.
